David grew up reading. His parents loved to read, weather it was to David, to themselves, or to others. He learned to read through his mother, who read to him every night before he went to sleep. His favorites were The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, The Series of Unfortunate Events, and Harry Potter. David would read many books in his years to come, which broadened his horizons, and expanded his knowledge. He would read because it was fun to him, because he would need to leave reality sometimes, to slay dragons and be the hero, to fall in love, and most importantly, have fun. He knew he wasn't the best reader, he knew that to be a good reader, he needed to be focused, dedicated, and smart. So he strives to be the best. Reading was easy to him, because he had grown up doing it, it was his own entertainment. David would get bored sometimes though, which made reading a lot difficult. He used to read Non-fiction books, which bored him to death, so he went looking for funny, cool, science-y, fiction books. In the sixth grade, he found a book called Swordmage, and he loved it! David received all his books from either his father, or his mother. He would read every day, but as the years went on, he read less and less. Books started to bore him. David now reads about one book in two months. He is a slow reader, but absorbs all the words he reads on the page. He would recommend it to all of his friends.
David may be a reader, but he is definitely not a writer. He knows that he could be better, by practicing, and trying to get past writing the first few sentences. He gets writers block very easily. David was told by many of his teachers, that he is a fantastic writer, but it just takes time for him to get started. If David was a good writer, he would write to express his his feelings, to make a world all his own, to tell his story. He would tell others, that to write well, you have to go with the flow, write what you want to. If you are given a topic, make it your own. Just have fun, no matter how boring it can get, try to spice it up. David loves to write fictional pieces. He thoroughly enjoys science fiction. When he writes Science-Fiction pieces, he tries to base it off of something that he thinks is cool. The more he enjoys a subject, the more likely it'll be in a story. David does not deal well with harsh criticism. He prefers positive affirmation, to know that people like what he is doing. He used to write in a Daily Journal, but he doesn't do that anymore. He just feels that his writing could always improve. Don't let your dreams be dreams!
